GUTTR

Every respondent,
inside the story.

GUTTR turns surveys into comics. People answer by counting, drawing, speaking or pointing, and researchers get clean, exportable data.

Meaning happens in the gutter. So do the best answers.

The space between panels shapes how a story is read. A shift, a tilt, an overlap: each changes the rhythm and the meaning we make. Respondents tally, draw, speak and point inside the story, while researchers keep rigorous, exportable data.

A wider spectrum of answering.

This is not a closed list. These are the ways of answering we run today; new sensory, playful and tactile methods are prototyped in the lab and added as they prove themselves.

Live
Tally

Count the way people did on paper: four strokes, one strike.

Live
Draw

A pencil inside the panel. Answers that can't be typed.

Prototype
Voice

A speech balloon that records.

Live
Point

Click the object in the scene. The comic is the question.

Prototype
Weather

Rain fire, petals or soil over the panel to say how it feels.

Live
Scale

Expression sliders that bend a character's face.

In the lab
Origami

Fold a paper boat to show you understood. The fold is the answer.

In the lab
Music box

Turn a crank to scroll the story forward at your own pace.
